What would love do? Let’s take a pause and ask this simple question that has the power to transform how we listen, speak, and move through each day. Imagine if love guided every action—if love had ears, it would listen with patience; if love had eyes, it would see with appreciation; if love had words, they would be kind and uplifting. Love wouldn’t rush or judge but would embrace each moment with compassion, grace, and presence.
What would love do?
The other day I was thinking, If love were a living, breathing presence, what would it do?
If love had ears, it would listen with a quiet, steady attention. It would be fully present, undistracted, hearing not only words but the heart behind them. When someone we care about speaks, we’d lean in, giving them all of our focus. Love would understand deeply, without needing to interrupt or judge.
If love had eyes, it would see the world in a way that goes beyond what’s visible. Love would notice the little things—the beauty in a shared smile, the courage in someone’s struggle, the hope in every sunrise. It would look with appreciation, admiration, and joy, recognizing the goodness in others and the wonders all around us.
If love could speak, it wouldn’t use words to criticize or diminish. Love would never beat us down or shame us, nor would it judge others harshly. Instead, love would choose words that soothe, encourage, and uplift, like a gentle spell that inspires. Even in moments of frustration or fear, love would find words of compassion and wisdom, embodying grace in everything it says.
If love had a body, it would care for itself with delight. It would choose foods that nourish, supporting its well-being and energy. Love would move in ways that feel yummy—stretching, dancing, or walking, delighting in what the body can do. It would choose to move with ease and gentleness through each moment. And love would embrace often, offering big, warm hugs to connect, heal, and bring comfort to others.
In truth, love is you. Love isn’t a fleeting feeling but a state of being—a constant presence within us, waiting for us to choose it each day. It’s always here, ready to shine through every word, action, and step we take.
This week, let’s use the mantra: “I am love.” Let it remind us to embody love in all we do. May we live as love would: listening, seeing, speaking, and moving with the fullest presence and grace.
Love you 💜
