Healthy Chocolate Mousse

This recipe incorporates the natural creaminess of silken tofu, which serves as a perfect substitute for traditional dairy products. By blending it with rich cocoa powder and medjool dates, this mousse achieves a balanced sweetness without the need for refined sugars.

You can garnish it with fresh fruits like berries or a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.

Take 5 Slow, Deep And Purposeful Breaths, Smile To Yourself. Set An Intention For The Meal.

Ingredients

Servings: 3-4 

  • 400g silken tofu, drained
  • 50g dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao), melted
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 medjool dates, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • pinch of ground cardamom
  • pinch of see salt

To Make

  • Melt chocolate over barely simmering water in a double boiler. Set it aside to cool slightly.
  • In a blender, combine all ingredients; blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the melted chocolate and blend again.
  • Spoon into 3-4 small glass jars or serving dishes.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate shavings and pink salt, or fresh berries.
  • Chill at least 1 hour before serving.

Note

  • For me, dark chocolate and cardamom is a match made in heaven hehe but feel free to add your favourite spice 😉
